Common Sense Priorities for Ward 8

Ward 8 deserves a councillor who listens to residents, stands up for taxpayers and focuses on getting results. Government works best when it respects the people who pay for it.

Stand Up for Taxpayers

Every tax dollar should be treated with respect.

Kitchener families are already paying enough. City Hall needs to take a hard look at spending, eliminate waste and make sure existing programs are delivering results.

You work hard for your money. City Hall should work just as hard for you.

"Every tax dollar should be treated with respect."

Protect Our Neighbourhoods While Planning for Growth

Growth should be planned, not simply imposed.

I support responsible development and new housing, but growth must come with a plan.

New development should be matched with the roads, parking, parks, transit and infrastructure needed to support it. Residents should not be left dealing with overcrowding and strained services because City Hall failed to plan ahead.

"Growth should be planned, not simply imposed."

Safer Streets and Stronger Neighbourhoods

Compassion matters, but so do safety, accountability and basic standards in our public spaces.

Residents deserve to feel safe walking through their neighbourhoods, using our parks and getting around our communities.

That means listening to residents, working with police and City staff, addressing traffic concerns and making practical improvements where they are needed.

Compassion matters, but so do safety, accountability and basic standards in our public spaces.

"Residents deserve to feel safe in their own neighbourhoods."

Back Local Businesses

Let entrepreneurs build. Let businesses grow. Let City Hall get out of the way.

Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy.

City Hall should make it easier, not harder, to open a business, create jobs and invest in our neighbourhoods. That means simpler processes, predictable permits and less unnecessary red tape.

Let entrepreneurs build. Let businesses grow. Let City Hall get out of the way.

"Let entrepreneurs build. Let businesses grow."

Fix the Basics First

People should not have to fight City Hall to get basic services delivered.

Residents should be able to count on the basics being done well.

That means properly maintained roads and sidewalks, effective snow clearing, safer intersections, well maintained parks and public spaces, and responsible infrastructure planning.

People should not have to fight City Hall to get basic services delivered.

"People should not have to fight City Hall for basic services."

A Councillor Who Listens and Stands Up

Strong Voice. Common Sense.

Being a councillor is about representing the people who live in the ward.

I will work with anyone when it gets results for Ward 8, but I will also stand up when something is not working. I will ask the tough questions, push for accountability and make sure Ward 8 has a strong voice at City Hall.

"Strong Voice. Common Sense."
