About Wendy
A Ward 8 Resident Fighting for Ward 8 Residents
Wendy Creighton
Candidate, Ward 8 — City of Kitchener
I believe a strong community starts with people looking out for one another.
I'm an educator at heart, a community advocate, a dog lover, and someone who believes family will always matter.
My 15 years in education have shaped the way I see people and the world around me. I've learned the value of listening, patience, standing up for others and recognizing the potential in every person. Those lessons have stayed with me and continue to guide how I approach my community and the people in it.
Family is incredibly important to me. I believe strong families help build strong neighbourhoods, and I want Kitchener to remain a place where families can put down roots, raise their children and build a future.
I also have a special place in my heart for seniors. They helped build the community we enjoy today, and they deserve to feel safe, respected, valued and connected to the city they call home.
I am passionate about supporting our local businesses, keeping our neighbourhoods safe, protecting the things that make our community special and making responsible decisions about how our city grows and spends your tax dollars.
I am someone who believes in showing up. I like talking with people, hearing their stories and finding practical ways to help. And anyone who knows me knows that if there is a dog nearby, I am probably going to stop and say hello.
I am running for Ward 8 Councillor because I love this community and believe residents deserve a strong, accessible and common sense voice at City Hall. I will listen, ask questions, work hard and always remember that the decisions made at City Hall affect real people, real families and real neighbourhoods.
For me, this is about the kind of Kitchener we leave to the next generation.
What Wendy Stands For
